In Indian banking industry employees unions and officers associations are playing vital role in the working of industry. It is symbol of strong employees unions in the banking industry in India that banking industry is on the verge of  9th wage revision and the central government employees get their wage revised only the 6th time.

In banks, officers are member of associations and rest employees are member of unions.
The management of all banks are organized and named as Indian Banks Association (IBA) and this is the governing body of banking management in India. Likewise all major employees unions and associations are organized on a single forum named United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU).
