Wage Revision:10th Bipartite Settlement:

Wage Revision Bank Employees 10th Bipartite Settlement:Bank Officers Expected Salary from Nov-2012

By: Rita, Place: Mumbai,  Update:03 Nov 2012

Wage Revision of Bank Employees is due from November 2012 and Bank Employees Unions and Officers Association submitted their Charter of Demand for 10th Bipartite to IBA (Indian Banks Association) on 30.10.2012.

It is presume that the expected basic and salary of bank officers will be on the basis of previous settlements. These are only projected and minimum salary. We are expecting that the final pay scales needs to be more than the below given pay scales due to increasing profitability and present poor pay structure of the banking industry :

We are thankful the persons who have prepared this table which is prepared with a view to estimate the revised Basic Pay, by merging the D.A. at various levels with the old basic pay.

There are  five different possibilities have been discussed.   In addition, the unmerged portion of DA and other allowances like FPP, PQP, HRA, CCA  etc. are to be added.

It is estimated that the revised Basic Pay will be 1.81 times to 1.99 times the present (pre-revised) Basic Pay.

In the worst possible scenario, the new basic pay after revision shall not be less than 1.75 times the present (pre-revised) basic pay.  This figure is arrived by taking the average of the All India Consumer Price Index (Base:1960=100) for the quarter ended 31-03-2011 (4245 points) as the basis.  At this point, the D.A. was at 52.80% of the existing basic pay.  Now, merge this D.A. of 52.80% with the present basic. Then, loading another 15% (which is the least expected), the revised basic pay will be 1.7572 times the present basic pay.

The all the possibilities taken into consideration and arrived at this presumption that the revised basic pay may be more than this.

The Bank staff works for five days a week & under lots of pressure..we constitute the revenue earning sector of the government...hence , the pay scales payed to the banking staff should be minimum equal to the other central government employees. Medical reimbursements should also be 100% along with increase in the pension like other government pensioners..

Apart from salary revision Unions must devise some system like insurance against frauds committed by outsiders for which bank officers are being made to pay by way of reduction in scale / demotion etc.
